I don't think she's a bad fit if she wants a more sophisticated route but she shouldn't have signed for an elegant shoot. They should have put her in something like the campaign Sophia Coppola did with all the coloured globes around Paris. That is cute, fun and refreshing like JLaw's public image. These pictures are a bad PR move.
i don't think she's a bad fit either but like i told the other commenter - basically a c/p - they saw an opportunity for their shitty fashion line to be talked up by one of the biggest names in the world rn not realizing she is going to next to nothing for their brand because she doesn't know anything about fashion.
I think the biggest fail is that the people who can afford Dior do not care about her because of branding. They don't see her as sophisticated so why would they care?
as a person of low-income who will shop at goodwill until i no longer can, i do not know. but i also don't understand why someone who can afford to buy dior would stop buying dior because they have jennifer lawrence on the posters in their store.
NONONO, what I said is that she doesn't appeal to that demographic. Let's be honest here, Jennifer is fun and is popular because of her personality and people find refreshing her foot in mouth problem but that's exactly what makes her polarising.
An elitist person like Gwyneth Paltrow probably looks at JLaw and rolls her eyes. That kind of people couldn't care less that she's the face of Dior, they will keep buying because they like the designs, not because she is representing the brand. That is bad branding from Jennifer's part and Dior's part.
Dior, because of the obvious. And Jenn, because her fans can't afford the house's prices and, at least, if you are going to associate themselves with a brand, do like Emma Stone and Watson do, they went for a make up contract.
Women are probably more willing to spend in expensive make-up than a $3000 purse.
You're still banging on about this? Really? How could this campaign be bad for her? She's getting so much press that shows her irreverent, unpretentious personality--one stylized shoot, even if it's used globally, won't somehow make her seem boring.
okay so you don't understand branding/ marketing. Do you realize that I am not even attacking her and that my comment is constructive? No, of course you don't so whatever.

too bad she came when raf took over as she doesn't really fit his minimalist aesthetic.
