Kristen Stewart Explains Foot Injury to Anne Hathaway
Kristen Stewart Explains Crutches, Foot Injury to Anne Hathaway Backstage at Oscars

Kristen Stewart had good reason to be at least little Les Miserables at Sunday's Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The Twilight actress, 22, attended the Academy Awards sans love Robert Pattinson (in Australia filming) but with one very noticeable accessory: Crutches. Stewart went without that aid when she presented an award with Daniel Radcliffe -- limping a bit painfully toward the podium.
According to the Associated Press, the blockbuster actress encountered another A-list actress backstage before that presentation-- Anne Hathaway, immediately after her Best Supporting Actress victory -- and finally dispelled the mystery behind her unexplained injury.
"Oh no!" the Prada-clad Les Miserables star, 31, exclaimed in sympathy, seeing Stewart's crutch.
"I know, I'm an idiot," Stewart (stunning in a Reem Acra gown, Jimmy Choo heels and Fred Leighton jewelry) replied. "But congratulations!" she said, eyeing Hathaway's hard-earned Oscar.
"Please tell me you're going on stage with those [crutches]," Hathaway said, the AP reports. "Nope," Stewart replied. "I'm gonna hobble."
Quipped the "I Dreamed a Dream" singer: "Well, break a leg . . . Oops!" Stewart then explained that she cut her foot recently after stepping on glass. "I just hope [the wound] doesn't open up right now."
Indeed, Stewart's glam squad told Us Weekly more about the young star's injury. "She had sliced her foot and everyone was worrying about would she wear heels or flats or one heel, crutches or no crutches," manicurist Ashlie Johnson told Us. "She tried so many options, she was really a trouper."
"Kristen was nervous about her crutches so having her friends around playing music was just what she needed," hairstylist Danilo said. "We all were trying to make her feel better and her friends were trying to tell her she'd be fine, she has insecurities about being in front of people so today was even tougher."

And I've cut my foot pretty badly before, it's not fun at all. I feel for her there.

i'm rooting for her
like, she just comes across as someone who'd rather work in the industry on a more low-profile scale and because she got caught up in all the hooplah that came with being cast in that vom-fest that is the Twilight ~saga~ she's been forced under a spotlight that she'd rather just avoid but gets put back into because of contracts and pressure from the folks around her?
idk maybe i'm just reading too much into it or whatever but she just never looks happy having to do the award show routine or press junkets - rather just do her roles and then be done, leave the flash and grab to people she knows have more charisma and appeal than she does
she's been forced under a spotlight that she'd rather just avoid
so why did she sign up for snow white and the huntsman then? that was way after the success of twilight. she knew that she was signing on for yet another big blockbuster. gurl please, she wants to do the big movies with the big paychecks and go to 30 premieres per year and be on countless magazine covers.
and it's pretty obvious to me that she does want to work on ~high profile projects and attend things like this and be in the spotlight (or she wouldn't have signed up for swath), but i feel like she just doesn't know how to act sometimes, if that makes sense. however, that can't really be used as an excuse because girl has been in the public eye for nearly 5 years now. she needs pr lessons, basically.
No one becomes as big as she is without some major planning and PR hyping. This is not an accident, and she knows what industry she's in, by now. If she wanted to keep a low indie profile, she would do low-key indies. Point Blank. She's just a spoiled brat, acting 'too cool' for the professional persona she herself created.
it is actually kind of amusing seeing how far you will go to make yourselves feel better tho. :D
Come on now, if you don't want to read bitter pressed people talk smack on Kristen Stewart, maybe ONTD isn't for you.
i can't believe she stood on stage w/ her arm behind her back like that. such a staggering self-conscious move in an attempt to let the academy and everyone know how rill she is. when you have anxiety you don't play it up for cameras.
i.e. that faker...
this was cute
