Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos is not impressed with Silver Linings Playbook

Ahead of Silver Linings Playbook's big night at The Oscars, Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos - who has been living with bipolar disorder all his life - isn't all too pleased with the film's portrayal of mental illness.

Despite his misgivings of the topic in the film, he concedes that it's better for it to be discussed, rather than not at all:

I liked SLP a lot, but he he's obviously entitled to his opinion and I respect him so much for what he's been through <3

SLP was a good movie, but I can't really understand why it's getting so much hype at all the award shows this year. The screenplay was decent, but I wasn't that impressed with the acting nominations compared to some of the fellow nominees in the same categories.

lol I refused to see it because whoever did the trailers used Sing Sing Sing.

There wasn't no goddamn big band swing in the fucking 1920s.

I realize that reason probably means I need to seek help but idc.

Weinstein. I believe he even did something with the reviews because there is only one negative review and all looks very sketchy
