The son-in-law of King Juan Carlos of Spain, Inaki Urdangarin, Duke of Palma will testify in court over allegations that he misused millions of euros of public funds, allocated to organise sports and tourism events, during his time a chairman of a non-profit foundation from 2004 to 2006. Public prosecutors suspect the non-profit foundation named 'Instituto Noos', headed by Urdangarin, of siphoning away funds from public contracts awarded to companies run by Urdangarin and his business partners.

Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan also celebrates his birthday today.
Crown Prince Naruhito turned 53 on Feb. 23 and is gaining advice about his future role as a symbol of Japan through “meaningful” talks with his father.“There are many things I can learn,” Naruhito said at a news conference at Togu Palace ahead of his birthday.
Naruhito said he and his brother, Prince Fumihito, have been visiting the Imperial Palace about once a month since last spring to listen to their father, Emperor Akihito, talk about his experiences and thoughts as a symbol of the nation.
