I'm so over it like if you were going to pick a "random" character, why not Bianca? She actually talked with Cam and gave him some kind advice earlier in the season when he had a meltdown but hey Eli is around and we barely ever see him so he definitely needs more screentime.
I think if Eli hadn't had the storylines of getting high with Jake and this was his first storyline again then it would have been better and there would be less complaint about it.
Because honestly I think it's great that he found Cam. Eli's dealt with death before and now it's back again. He had no relation to Cam at all but that happens. You discover something that has nothing to do with you and it changes your life or in Eli's case it's going to mess him up again.
That's well and good, but you have to sort of accept that IT IS how some people react, and honestly, it's a legitimate response. Not that a person is selfish, but, it's easy to see why somebody who's never experienced such a thing would think it.
If everyone had the same reaction of shock and sadness, it would be a pretty shitty story.
I'm so angry and annoyed at this episode. It was so rushed and vague. We don't even know anything about Cam's suicide. How did he do it? What about his family? They had such a good build up and then they write an episode like this? This is the big episode everybody's been waiting for? Oh, and of course Eli had to find him and next week we're going to get a whole episode dedicated to how HE'S dealing with it. It was poorly done.
And that MuchTalks: Degrassi did nothing to help me, at all.
I mean I'm not shocked that they didn't show how they did it but I agree with everything else, especially since this character was basically created for that reason, you'd think they'd dive a bit more into his life.
ALSO THE DAY ELI GRADUATES WILL BE THE BEST FUCKING DAY, HE WAS SUCH AN INTERESTING CHARACTER AND NOW HE'S JUST ANNOYING AS SHIT.
lol, ikr. I'm so sick and tired of nearly every major plot of the last 3 seasons revolving around Eli/Clare either separately or together. at least the actress playing Clare can act and has pretty good range, Munro, on the other hand, is awful.
I think they should've waited til next season to kill off Cam, we were still getting to know him. And to lose him after getting attached would've been more of an impact.
I'm very underwhelmed by this episode. I'm not saying they should have shown his death but at least had scenes leading up to his death. I know it may be morbid but it just felt like the emotion wasn't there because we didn't get any details on the death. I miss this show when it had edge: JT, the Rick shooting, those were episodes they should have drawn inspiration from. IDK, I'll watch next week because I like Eli.
I felt like this episode could have been better. IDK, I thought there would be more crying, or something?
I liked Dallas' scene but Fiona didn't really convince me she was all that concerned.
I know that it won't hit Maya until another episode but the whole "he was selfish thing and I mean it" was bullshit.
They spent so much time building up to this episode and it really fell flat for me. And seriously, after all that Eli goes through, HE had to find the damn body?
Right? Maybe there should have been another episode where we see him acting out more or something. They did such a good job with introducing him, making some of us like him and showing us slowly how he wasn't okay, and then this shit episode is his send off.
Fiona and him did become friends, didn't they? And someone pointed out something great: Fiona did the desperate on a rooftop before too. It was a nice parallel.
i havent watched degrassi in a couple years so i really don't know any of these characters except for eli, ali, fiona and claire. i totally thought maya's sister was her WAY WAY older sister and then it's just that one girl who dyed her hair darker? im so confused.
I didn't really feel anything during this episode. They definitely should have aired both parts together.
It also bothered me that they never told us how Cam died. He committed suicide, but how? I guess they can show a dead dog in a pool of blood, but not a dead body?
I know! Like, damn we couldn't even see his hand or something? Also, Sefan (Mr.Simpson/Director) (sp??) said, "it doesnt matter how he committed suicide. It doesn't add to the story." Or something like that.
I disagree with him. I thought the Claude episode, where it was clear what happened, had more of an impact. I was just wondering why Cam chose the garden.
I think that's silly. I mean a huge writing rule is to show, not tell which is the opposite of what they did. I mean we even got to see Bianca's ex's hand when he died, so why not like... Cam's foot or something. I think his suicide would have had more of an impact on me if we had seen him toying with the idea, commiting it off camera (maybe cut to a commercial), and then have someone discover him.
dylan is such a great actor and on top of that super qt. i really hope these episodes get good press and he can go on to do more stuff because he's talented.
i still need to see this ep tho. where is the stream

next on the chopping block: drew, plz.
But I was strangely unaffected by this. I don't know why. Counselor Tara says its normal. I just want Cam back
oh and dallas betta werq those serious scenes.
I was more pissed at Becky. JFC girl, have some compassion.
