no offense, but I really hate this thinking, train of thought "boys are dumb, its all their fault", taylor swift song mentality.

they have the right not to like you back if they dont, if you cant handle it dont be their friend. rejection sucks but it literally happens to ALL OF US. and also, dont let this guy (if he is) use your friendship to be some back-up GF shit...like he'll run to you to bitch about girls, or tell you how cool you are...thats letting yourself get friend-zoned. if you just like him, and dont care about getting over it and being his friend then ABANDON SHIP. dont waste your time on that shit!

i was friendzoned literally days after he moved back into the city and we fooled around, even though he wasn't really getting it up. he felt like he was hooking up with a friend.....rme
it's hard to develop something more seeing them only once a week since they were living almost an hour outside the city

woefully depressed i haven't gotten a job yet even after finally getting some interviews...
my boyfriend is super nice and is helping pay my rent. i signed up for food stamps.

anyone knows of any entry level geologist/env sci jobs on the east coast? :(
i'm scared i've exhausted everything i can find online...

You should sign up for ECOLOG-L. It's a listserve for scientists. They're always posting jobs/openings for graduate level work. You should also look for lab tech jobs at universities. That was my first job out of college and gives you a nice entry on your CV. Don't limit yourself. I'm in grad school for marine fisheries science, but my school has physical and geological oceanography departments that would probably be right up your alley.

sooooo, I'm interested in a classmate, but I've only known her for a few weeks and I can't tell if she feels the same.

We talked a lot the other day and have a ridiculous amount of things in common. but idk. I haven't been interested in anyone in a while and it's like I've lost the ability to tell when the feeling is mutual.

Ugh i'm so torn.

1. i'm moving back in with my parents tomorrow until i figure out my new apartment situation. The only reason is bc im waiting to hear if my aunt got this house they bid on bc they want me to rent theirs out but its taking FOREVER. If they don't get it, I'm debating BUYING a house instead of renting. Is this a horrible idea? The thing that hinders me is bc its JUST ME, do i NEED a house? And i'd hate to be STUCK here but at the same time i have no real plans to move, either.

2. I hate my job but it's so hard to find a new job. My work offers tuition reimbursement as long as it's something they can hire in for. I'm considering going back to school (I already have a degree in telecommunications) for business or something and hope i can advance that way. Only probably is once again i'd be stuck.. in a job I hate for at least 3 years (or whenever i finish school + one year) or else i have to pay it all back.

What do I do??

I feel like the 2nd part is so tough to think about because on the one hand, you want to get a better job on the whole/one you actually like, but then in the current situation, you could advance yourself with another degree. Would the degree matter all that much/help in future job prospects? Do you really want the degree, or are you just looking at it because it would be reimbursed through your work?

Well, i'm not actually dying for a business degree but also im not getting anywhere with my current degree and i feel like, Hopefully, I'd be able to find SOMETHING with a broad degree like business. I've been thinking of going back to school for a while, i just can never decide what for. I feel like this is a more practical option but its also like resigning myself to my current job for a couple years at least.
