My mom came into my room last night and said, "Your birthday's a week from tomorrow and I haven't gotten you anything!". I told her she didn't have to get my anything, and she replied, "Oh you're gettin' stuff. Thaaaangs".

lol! my birthday is tomorrow and my mom just did something similar- we had to postpone my family party (was supposed to be Sun but we're getting a foot of snow- EFF YOU BOSTON) and she was like "you're still getting a surprise on Sunday though!" and I was like "But I'm not even going to see you guys?" but she said I'm still getting something???

YAY for our surprises. Haha.

I find out if I need surgery on my ankle on Wednesday. My doctor isn't optimistic because apparently I shouldn't be feeling any pain and I'm still feeling quiet a lot in addition to my ankle constantly trying to roll out.

Surgery I can deal with especially if it means the pain will eventually be better and I can walk properly again and even drive (it's been almost three months since I last drove). I'm really nervous about my work though. I'm pretty sure they'll fire me over it if I can't go to our big conference in six weeks. They already said I'm not allowed to take anything for pain if I'm going to go to work.

I hate how in Illinois people don't have to give a reason to let you go.

Yeah because I in part work with money so I can't take any pain medication so I mostly have to deal with it.
