OH MY GOD.

Charlie Cox has been tapped to join CBS' family drama The Ordained, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Ordained revolves around Tom, the son of a Kennedy-esque family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated.

Cox, who played Nucky's right-hand man/Margaret's love interest Owen on HBO's Boardwalk Empire, will star as Tom, who is described as having the charm and looks of the late JFK Jr. Tom joined the priesthood after law school to quell anger issues and to spite his authoritarian father. He leaves the priesthood in an attempt to unravel an assassination plot against his sister, the mayor of New York City.

Journalist/author Lisa Takeuchi Cullen will pen the script for CBS Television Studios and will executive produce alongside Frank Marshall, Larry Shuman and A.B. Fischer. RJ Cutler will helm the pilot, with Robert Zotnowski on board as a co-EP.

In addition to his role on Boardwalk (his character, Owen, was murdered last season), the WME and United Agents-repped Cox's credits also include a starring role in Stardust, the mini Moby Dick, in which he played Ishmael, and the upcoming feature Hello Carter.

Cox joins a cast that also includes Act of Valor's Nestor Serrano, who will play a partner at the law firm where Tom is employed whom he suspects is behind the plot to kill his sister.
