lollll I've wondered about that. I really don't know. Sometimes the show gets really dark, and Reese has a lot of issues with self-loathing, and especially around the end of the first season I thought them both dying was a strong possibility.
But this season has been more optimistic imo; Reese is healing slowly, Finch has Grace still out there. idk. They may just do that "let's get to work" thing. Which I always like. A death is certainly intense and final (and the only true closure), but I'm always moved by the endings that have the characters just keepin' on (like Third Watch or, like, L&O Criminal Intent).
I would be fine either way tbh. And I think that hopefully we'll have a few seasons before we have to worry about that.
