Eh. Depends on what you mean by "lots of". Rape isn't really depicted in the book, but it is talked about and I do think that GRRM uses it in some problematic ways.

But like, there are plenty of fabulous female characters and there are a LOT of female fans of the series. So the idea that there needs to be a "female" version of Game of Thrones is just ridiculous.
