Josh Brolin and Diane Lane To Divorce

Another celebrity power couple bites the dust ... Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are calling it quits on their 8-year marriage.

A spokesperson for the couple announced the two are going their separate ways -- it's unclear if they have officially filed for divorce.

Josh and Diane were married in 2004 -- and have no children together.

The union hasn't exactly been smooth sailing -- just months after they tied the knot, Josh was arrested and charged with spousal battery.

Josh has starred in a ton of huge movies -- including "True Grit," "Milk," "No Country for Old Men" and "W."

Lane's credits ain't exactly shabby either ... she's been in hits like "The Perfect Storm," "Unfaithful," and "Under the Tuscan Sun."

Are you from the US originally?
mikochin 21st-Feb-2013 07:59 pm (UTC)
Nope. I was born in Sweden and lived here all my life.

Oh ok, makes sense! Both are good/successful actors but I don't think they are internationally known.

I'm not from USA and I know both of them since I was like 13 or something haha.

lol that actually makes no sense at all. as a swede, I can't believe someone is claiming they don't know who they are
cluelessraf 21st-Feb-2013 10:49 pm (UTC)
Well, it makes sense to me because I didn't expect Swede's to know much about American actors who weren't like A list supreme. I also didn't know if Swede's glorified Hollywood in their tabloids/media as much as their own native celebrities. I know Americans movies are popular worldwide but it's not like people should necessarily know about them.

for one, I can't believe someone don't know celebrities when they hang out on ontd, but that's another thing lol

but secondly, swedes do love their gossip. I'm guessing we're not as crazy with our tabloids as you, if we're talking variations of them. the media coverage of swedish celebrities is very sparse compared to hollywood stars. tbh, swedish stars are not sensational enough lol.

and lastly, they show a crazy amount of american tv shows and movies over here. all day every day, pretty much.

it would be one thing if we were talking about, say, italian movie stars. THAT would make more sense. :)

LOL. You made your point!
fanskap 21st-Feb-2013 11:25 pm (UTC)
hahaha, all that needed to be said tbh

everything else is just "blah blah blah..."
fanskap 21st-Feb-2013 11:18 pm (UTC)
okay, there would be one category of stars people outside of US might not be very familiar with: reality stars
exlenne 21st-Feb-2013 08:01 pm (UTC)
This makes more sense. They're pretty famous but they're not really International A-List like Tom Cruise or something.
