Comedian Lisa Lampanelli woke up to a firestorm of controversy Tuesday morning after she tweeted a picture of herself with HBO show "Girls" creator Lena Dunham with the caption, “Me with my nigga @LenaDunham of @HBOGirls - I love this beyotch!!”
Now Lisa is defending her choice of using the N-word, saying she has no intention of not using it again.
"I have not been online since Sunday night; I needed a little break after the writer awards. And I’m like, oh there is controversy, perfect," Lisa told The Huffington Post. "I was at the Writers Guild Awards and Lena Dunham saw me and said, 'I saw you when I was 15.' She was so sweet and I swear to you, I'm the biggest fan of 'Girls' in the world, and I just tweeted out our picture. And that's controversial; enjoy, people."
After we pointed out to Lisa that it was her choice of a certain word, rather than the image, that has people talking, Lisa defended what she wrote.

Lisa Lampanelli Defends Racial Slur, Says She Won't Stop Using N-Word

you can't take a word that was reclaimed by the people who suffered from it and compare it to some harry potter nonsense
and besides everyone knows Voldemort would've owned slaves and been more akin to a cracker
This douchebag isn't black, therefore she has no business using it.
Harry took back Voldemort's name because he had been targeted by Voldemort. he had the right to do so. this is why, despite the fact that almost no characters whatsoever say the name (hence the detector set up to find Harry by detecting when someone said it), nobody calls him out on it. he has the right to take a word that has a traumatic history for him and the wizarding community and use it to show that he's The Boy Who Lived.
the rest of the wizarding community rarely uses the word, because even though saying it makes it more fearsome, many are still dealing with the profound marks that Voldemort left among them. even some of the people who didn't do it out of respect for their classmates who were directly affected by him.
finally, it would be completely out of line for Draco Malfoy to go around throwing the word "Voldemort" like it was nbd and as if that made him braver, when his family never went through what families like Neville's or Harry's did. the word may bring back terrible memories for Neville and in any case, he's constantly struggling with the consequences of Voldemort's deeds, unlike Draco. maybe Draco constantly calling Hermione a "mudblood" would be the closest scenario, however -- Hermione could take it back if she wanted to because she was part of the group hurt by it, but Draco could not as he was part of the group that benefited from the prejudice to begin with and it wasn't up to him to suddenly make it a nice word and control it as purebloods controlled the wizarding world for ages.
so, yes, it is like Voldemort, but you are wrong.
same though. I would abuse that power to no end

And all of the Quentin Tarantino hate is mind-boggling. (I'm new to ONTD, is this a common opinion?)
I'll say it again: Context is everything.
Lisa is still a dumb bitch overall for her unfunny antics, but this usage of 'nigga' is gaining way more attention than is necessary.

Most of the time it's just embarrassing, like when older people try to use teenager slang, but it's not exactly offensive, given the context and intent behind the word.

This changes everything.
Obviously you are new here.
I know I can't keep Black people from using it because they have a right to reclaim a word but I sure as hell don't need all white people calling me the n-word and feeling good about it. Yeah context is eevrything and the context of this word is that it's a fucking racial slur - so how about no
nobody will ever consider u a nigga so why r u pressed????

everything belongs to them them them!
whether its enslaving black people or freeing them and then tell them what words to use and what not, then running around using a word that for ONCE belongs to black people.
