Comedian Lisa Lampanelli woke up to a firestorm of controversy Tuesday morning after she tweeted a picture of herself with HBO show "Girls" creator Lena Dunham with the caption, “Me with my nigga @LenaDunham of @HBOGirls - I love this beyotch!!”
Now Lisa is defending her choice of using the N-word, saying she has no intention of not using it again.
"I have not been online since Sunday night; I needed a little break after the writer awards. And I’m like, oh there is controversy, perfect," Lisa told The Huffington Post. "I was at the Writers Guild Awards and Lena Dunham saw me and said, 'I saw you when I was 15.' She was so sweet and I swear to you, I'm the biggest fan of 'Girls' in the world, and I just tweeted out our picture. And that's controversial; enjoy, people."
After we pointed out to Lisa that it was her choice of a certain word, rather than the image, that has people talking, Lisa defended what she wrote.

Lisa Lampanelli Defends Racial Slur, Says She Won't Stop Using N-Word

FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING DUMB NITWIT. I am Chinese, and no, it is not acceptable if you are using a racial slur against Asians for your jokes. YOU don't get to decide what someone of another race finds acceptable or not. I am not your slave. I don't have to kowtow to a person of any other race in order to learn what is appropriate for myself or not. I am already living in a world where men fetishize me and people like me as konichiwa sex dolls, and where employers subconsciously think I am meek and have no voice, and where others think I am only good at math and have a robotic submissive soul, just because I am Asian. I don't need some over-privileged bottle-blonde rich bitch to tell me what I should laugh at just so you can collect a paycheck for your mediocre, culturally-vapid act to pay for your overpriced Beverly Hills expenses, therapy, Whole Foods colonic cleanses and prescription meds, you try-hard hack "comedan." You are not the overlord decider over blacks, gays, Hispanics and Asians as to what each individual group should find offensive.
Also you have HD powder all over your face and you look like a 17th century dandy clown. Haven't you learned not to use HD powder with flash photography???????? IDIOT.
/focusing on the important part of your comment
What really bothers me about her act is that people go, pay, and laugh. And not white people. She basically wouldn't have an act if only white straight people went to her shows.
Her audience is full of gay guys laughing at her homophobic jokes and black/hispanic/asian people laughing at her racist jokes.
I'm not saying those people are responsible, she's the only person responsible for her filth, but those people contribute to why she thinks this is acceptable and why she continues.
She continues because it is profitable, she's successful being this way. I find that more depressing than anything she actually says.
I don't get why she thinks it's acceptable to use those slurs. There are no equivalent slurs for white and straight people, so maybe she doesn't get how uncomfortable and paranoid it can make you feel when friends and people you work with or go to school with use it. Maybe they say it in a jocular tone, but you still get the feeling that they secretly must think poorly of you.
sorry your caps lock inspired me
Like, I've argued so many times on reddit over the flippant use of 'faggot', and every argument usually boils down to this finale:
Me: Why do you HAVE to say it? How difficult would it be for you to not say it, to acknowledge it hurts people and just pick another word? Is that really a HARD thing to do?
Them: No, I could easily do that, but that would be giving in and sacrificing my freedom of speech. I don't say it because I have a particular affinity for the word, I say it to prove I still have the right to.
Me: . . . I quit.
every. time.
The obnoxious part of the "hey stop saying shit that is really offensive to X Group" brigade is the fact that anyone who still says XYZ Slur is either 95 and not changing or they're too fucking stupid to care about changing. Those who give a damn have either already changed or at least vaguely considered it.
The worst part is that you know most white people wouldn't say it in front of black people who aren't their one black friend so they are already admitting that it's offensive and they continue to do it.
Also kinda ot someone in my dorm told on me for listening to the boondocks "too loud". I mean it's good that it makes them uncomfortable but I'm black and it also must not have been loud enough if they still snitched
