'Buffy' Star Emma Caulfield has Twitter War with Joss Whedon Superfans

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Emma Caulfield (also known as Anya or Anyanka on the show) took part in an argument on twitter last night with rabid Joss Whedon fans, after receiving angry replies regarding her comment that Joss Whedon was not the first writer to kill off major characters.

She and Mal were going to have some argument at the beginning of the episode about her being a companion. Later, she gets gangraped by reavers, but first she had taken some sort of medicine that would kill anyone who raped her. So Mal walks in and finds her surrounded by dead reavers and he helps her up and finally ~treats her like a lady~ or something like that. Bullshit, basically.

Whaaaat? OMG, where did this info come from? That's crazy! The only thing I'd heard about Joss's future plans for the show Inara was dying of some unknown disease.

One of the writers, I think Tim Minear, talked about it during the Firefly Reunion special. :/

sometimes i'm glad firefly died so early because it would have inevitably been ruined like every tv show longer than two seasons
