'Buffy' Star Emma Caulfield has Twitter War with Joss Whedon Superfans

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Emma Caulfield (also known as Anya or Anyanka on the show) took part in an argument on twitter last night with rabid Joss Whedon fans, after receiving angry replies regarding her comment that Joss Whedon was not the first writer to kill off major characters.

See, I go back and forth. I love his work but i'm not a huge fan of him. Same with Matthew Weiner of Mad Men. He's a colossal douche (way douchier than Joss imo) but goddamn does that man create amazing TV.

idr if it's anything specific now that I'm thinking about it. I've heard (from stuff on ontd) that he runs his set with an iron fist, and he comes across as SUCH an asshole in interviews.

I can see that, I just hadn't ever heard of him pulling a Joss (which really gets me, because I think he makes good shit, he's just an asshole).

Joss is like the QB of the high school football team; we all think he's a prick, but we need him to fucking win.

i don't know anything about him being a douche specifically, but as a fan of mad men i HATE that he casted his son as glen ... and even after everyone in the world hated him (the glen character) and his terrible acting and useless story lines, he forces glen back down our throats in season five.

I hate his stans too, tbh. The only reason his stuff was ever worth watching is because of the actors. So many of his shows and movies have poor writing and plot holes left and right,
