When Mindy McCready was found dead on Sunday of an apparent suicide, the country singer was not alone: Her dog, who'd been fatally shot, was by her side.
But a source close to the star tells Fox News that her decision to end the animal's life would "not have been an act of malice."
"Mindy really loved her dog," the friend said. "It would have been more of a case where she just didn't want to leave the dog alone."
The troubled star, whose boyfriend, David Wilson, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in January, was reportedly under investigation at the time of her death. Police were concerned about details surrounding Wilson's passing.

ok apologists, explain away why she only killed one of three dogs... the one belonging to her bf who presumably she had less of an emotional attachment to?

I couldn't even get past the first page. I'm glad I was on my lunch break when I read it.
my first reaction when i read this was how could she but after a couple minutes she's obviously wasn't in the right place, and had her reason why would kill her dog, especially after reading this. she probably wanted her dog to with her to heaven or be with her or whatever she believed happened in the afterlife. maybe she just knew her dog well enough to know that when she's gone her dog will not be the same losing an owner they're so attached too so she wanted him/her to be put of his/her misery too
