Game of Thrones: More Blu-ray details aka a House ONTD post

The DVD and Blu-ray release of Game of Thrones season 2 hits on Tuesday, February 19 and includes a huge bundle of special content, including commentaries on every episode, special featurettes, histories accessible in-episode, and hidden “dragon eggs” (deleted scenes, actually).

Some of what gets revealed in those commentaries and featurettes is a little eye-popping, so I’ve combed through all of it and pulled out some of the best bits for curious fans. Want to know how to get on the show? Need a summary of the hints dropped about the forthcoming third season? Want to know what wildfire is made of? And what cast member the entire ensemble is really worried about? Read on!

What's saddest about the Sansa hate is that Sophie is such a tremendous actress but is always overlooked.

At this point though I think the Cat hate is even worse and Michelle Fairley keeps getting shafted.

Michelle is amazeballs and haters are lame and ridiculous. I also hate how the show is handling Cat because none of it makes sense!

I think, unfortunately, because of the way the characters have semi-parallel storylines, Sophie and Maisie are always compared and because Arya has the more overtly appealing storyline, Sophie always loses in the comparison when I think they're both great.

I'm not so sure though. Sometimes I think I can only understand what emotions she's trying to portray because I've read the books. There's a season 2 deleted scene up on youtube with Sandor and then Tyrion, and her face is so weirdly blank when she's supposed to be scared? And intimidated, and it's strange. Maybe I just don't understand how they're writing her, but I'm finding a lot to be desired with her performance.

Charles Dance was so effective as Tywin that crew would rush to assist him based on the terror his character instilled.

Anyone going to the exhibition? It's worth it just to sit on the iron throne alone. I don't think I can plan a NY trip in time for it, unfortunately :(

One of my friends goes to Trinity and has a few classes with Jack. Apparently no one ever goes up to him for a picture or anything, but there's always one or two dickheads who yell out something at him in a lecture or walking around college ("so is yer dad yer uncle?" being the tamest). So yeah, I really wouldn't be surprised if some drunk asshole though he was actually Joffrey and not just an actor playing a part.

Also - and this is indicative of my friend's stalker tendencies - apparently if you stand on Nassau Street at 6pm on a Thursday, you can see him cycle past.

I managed to strong-arm one of my friends into watching from the beginning with me and I'm so excited. The best thing about watching GoT is watching it with people who don't know how much shit's about to go down.

The Red Wedding episode premiere will be glorious and I expect lots of reaction videos and gifs, plus you know there will be at least one video where a girl is crying uncontrollably over Robb's death because "he is so hot/flawless/perfect" etc.
