it isn't under that great of lock and key. She herself has blabbed it out and if that girl can find out all she found about her that means they haven't done any real erasing of her past usually when you send someone undercover and aren't erasing the fact that they're a cop totally. you make it so they got fired or something like that. They never have anything in place for what if she gets caught besides panic and he cleans shit up for her..tells her to stop and quit and she ignores him and goes about her business sloppily. It's lazy writing. Not that the reporter wasn't idiotic but that whole plot point is just fucking stupid. if that reporter is THAT good she would know better.
