Kim Kardashian 'Flipping Out' Over Pregnancy Weight Gain

Kim Kardashian loved her baby bump, but now she's going crazy over her new figure.

The New York Daily News reports the reality star is "not pleased" with her expanding figure as she passes five months pregnancy. “At first, she didn’t mind because she was excited to be pregnant. But now she’s flipping out because she didn’t think it would be this extreme." The source adds that Kim has already gone up four cup sizes.

However, father-to-be Kanye West isn't so worried about his girl's new shape. "He encourages her to eat whatever she wants. He tells her not to worry, and it makes her feel better."

Recently, the couple made headlines for getting preferential treatment boarding a flight to Brazil. The two were whisked through lines and created a 50 minute delay when it was discovered they were never given a security scan

How narcissistic do you have to be if you're "upset" about your pregnant body? Like really? Women these days... If I was pregnant, I would be trying to eat as healthy as possible and doing minimal exercising to make sure that MY CHILD will be healthy. I'll be in those pregnant yoga classes and going for walks in the park with my froyo.

All my worries would be about the health of my child, not over me having back rolls -_-

How is saying that pregnant women should focus on the health of their child instead of their vanity misogynistic?

"Women these days" as in, OP assuming that women make all these conscious decisions to be "vain" instead of worry about their baby, despite the fact that there are enormous amounts of pressure from society at large (especially on celebrity women) to lose the pregnancy weight, be back at work and ready to go or w/e and glow and glisten all through their pregnancies, despite the fact that, y'know, they're literally growing a second person in their lady oven.

Because most women are like that because of society's misogynistic attitudes, so to turn around and shame them for it is wrong.

OP's commentary implies that women are selfish if they dare to be concerned about their bodies once they are pregnant: that the baby is the only important thing. Women are essentially just incubators for precious babies and they're "narcissistic" if they deviate from that. You seriously think that isn't misogynistic?

I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant and this is my second full-term pregnancy. From what I've learned through reading and talking to other pregnant women, the majority of pregnant women care a great deal about their babies and do everything they can to insure that they are developing properly. However, that does not preclude them from being upset about how their bodies are changing over the course of pregnancy! Pretty much every woman in the world has concerns about body image; that's not narcissistic, it's normal.

Because as people here so loved to point out in the Jessica Simpson threads - the condition of her body DOES matter to the health of her child. So when you try to shame a woman for caring about her looks, when you KNOW that you will also be shaming her if she gets too big, and when caring about her looks is also good for the kid - you're just looking for any excuse to shame a woman. And that is fucking misogynistic.

It should also be mentioned that "doing minimal exercise" is not at all helpful towards a healthy pregnancy. Doctors now recommend maintaining the intensity you are accustomed to as long as your body is comfortable doing so. But the OP clearly has no clue what pregnancy entails with their ignorant and nasty comments, so it seems a moot point.
