Shia LaBeouf was totally crazy, drunk and scary on the set of Lawless, co-star Mia Wasikowska has revealed, telling EntertainmentWise that all the talk about Shia's mad antics on set scaring her were “all true” .
Stoker star Wasikowska may have got on like a house on fire with her co-star in her latest movie, Nicole Kidman, but Shia told how she'd been scared about his crazy antics on the set of the prohibition era flick, saying that she even called her lawyer.
“She [Wasikowska] was calling her attorney, like, 'Get me the f*** out of here, Mia was ready to walk away from the movie. I was really pretty aggressive about it, and not in any kind of weird, strange way, but I don't think she had ever experienced anything like that," LaBeouf told the New York Daily News last year.
When asked by us if the actor had been crazy and drunk, scaring her on set, the 23-year-old said: “It was all true, absolutely, yep.”
LaBeouf had said that he had got drunk on the set of the movie to help with his character, a young moonshine boy who falls for Wasikowska, but that the strength of the liquor he drunk made him a little crazy.
"I did it for the movie. I didn't drink off set for no reason. I did it because, when I showed up on set the next day, my [bleep]ing eyes looked like this and my face... had that drunk bloat that I needed, that I couldn't have if that wasn't going on. Moonshine is different than liquor. Moonshine is closer to heroin," LaBeouf said.
It appears that Shia wasn't exaggerating, as demure Mia, who Nicole Kidman revealed spent time on set reading Chekov on Stoker rather than the LaBeouf approach of hitting the booze, confirmed.

but even so, showing up to set fucked up out of your mind isn't method acting. it isn't acting at all. it's just actually being fucked up.
