On Sunday, sources close to country singer Mindy McCready confirmed that the one-time chart-topper, who went on to appear on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," committed suicide via self-inflicted gunshot on Sunday. Now, reports have surfaced that before McCready shot herself on her front porch, she shot her family dog. According to TMZ, neighbors reported hearing the two gunshots.
The dog, oddly, was a key figure in an investigation into the death of McCready's longtime boyfriend, David Wilson. Wilson died from a gunshot wound on January 13, 2013. McCready told NBC that her dog found the bullet.
"I didn't find the bullet, the dog did. It was in the dog's mouth. I mean, that's a horrific things to say, but it was in the dog's mouth," she said in an interview following Wilson's death. There had been some speculation as to whether Wilson's death was a suicide or whether there was foul play involved. When asked if she killed her boyfriend, McCready told NBC, "Oh my God, no. He was my life, we were each others' life."
McCready had plans to honor Wilson's memory. "Some kind of foundation for people to donate in David's name, probably something having to do with music, a scholarship fund," she told "Dateline." "David loved music more than anything. And he desperately wanted his music to be heard."

Clearly the guy who killed people at Sandy Hook was mentally ill...as was this woman. So maybe try responding to the question, or at least try to comprehend it.
In this case, it's really hard to say why she did it. It's possible that she was desperate and couldn't face the possibility that the dog would starve before they found her body, or she knew it wouldn't be able to live with someone else and her brain thought it was the most humane way rather than have him be abandoned etc. The behavior is still wrong, but given that she was obviously not thinking straight and had been grappling with mental health issues that lead to desperate and erratic behavior (addiction) I think she deserves some empathy.
TRUTH!
Autism most likely did NOT urge him to murder.
I hate when people act like autism makes people murder when there is no correlation betw/ violent crimes and mental illness even among the extreme cases.
