The 6 Best-Dressed Women on Television

I’m far from what you would call a “fashion maven” – an expert on all things beauty, make-up, and clothes -, so I won’t be applying for a job at Vogue or starting a YouTube channel dedicated to the topic any time soon.

But what I do know in regards to fashion is whether or not I find something to be visually appealing, which is how it goes for most people as well. I’ve never been to a runway show or met with designers and had an in-depth discussion on the meaning of ‘haute couture’.

Most of my knowledge comes from what I see on my television screen and what beauty bloggers tell me – though it takes some time to sort through the rubbish before getting to the genuinely good, smart stuff.

This past year (I’m counting 2012) has had a diverse array of female characters. In terms of wardrobe, the following is what stuck out to me the most…

I LOVE this show. I was so sad when it was not renew. It was so rare to see many strong successful women on TV shows that were friends and support each other. The women were fierce and decisive in what they want in their work and life.

Then again Gina Torres could wear a cardboard box and look flawless, because she's just that gorgeous.

i've been marathoning the tv series and i'm still blown away by how fucking dumb her voice is in the movies. she's 50 years old, why is she talking like she's 13?

Is she really 50? w/e, I love Carrie and SJP but at some points in the movie her voice was so annoying. At the beginning when she and Big visited the new important I almost shot someone it was so annoying.

IA! I don't know if it was season 1 or 2 when Britta was wearing a jean jacket that I thought looked cute. I also like that leather jacket she wore for a few episodes in season 2.

I still want that large collar coat she had in season 1. I remember it best from that ep where Pierce is trying to hypnotize her to quit smoking (the debate episode, I think?), and she's got that awesome jacket. Loved it.

I like how in the Carrie Diaries they show her wearing the same pieces over again. Like that blue (denim?) skirt with qt sweaters.

Also LOVE joan's and olivia's.

Jamie king's character in hart of dixie wears cute stuff, too.
And zooey in new girl.
