Time for another tale of Amanda Bynes' strange behavior: The New York Post reports that the 26-year-old actress, who recently moved from Los Angeles to New York, had a habit of leaving her door open and turning on red light bulbs throughout her former downtown Manhattan home (Bynes left after eviction was threatened).
The publication quotes one of her alleged neighbors as saying: "Her door was left open all the time" and that "we saw that she put red [light bulbs] in every outlet." The insider also recounted a story that placed Bynes "at 2 A.M. one morning, laughing hysterically for four minutes" before going back into her apartment.
These bizarre Bynes stories are now reaching legend status. Bynes' odd behavior was first documented in summer 2012, after the former Nickelodeon star incurred a string of vehicular incidents that included a DUI arrest and later, her car being impounded. After that, reports of Bynes' extreme behavior trickled in: locking herself inside dressing rooms for two hours, taking off her top and applying makeup in the middle of a gym class, and publishing, then deleting, several Tumblr accounts and Twitter accounts.
In November, Bynes denied reports that she was mentally unstable, telling Us Weekly in a statement: "I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy."
