Oh good, a Marvel post. Someone recommend me Avengers/New Avengers storylines that have Spider-Woman in them and wouldn't be completely confusing to someone who doesn't read Marvel.

You should start with the Spider-Woman: Origin mini (2005) and then the Spider Woman ongoing (2009). Honestly she was in most of New Avengers, so there's not really one storyline - it's all a bit confusing but you just have to roll with it i guess.

Avengers Assemble. Start at issue #9 because that's when Kelly Sue DeConnick (who writes Captain Marvel) took over. A friend described that book as "Avengers for Tumblr." It's pretty accurate.

I kinda agree. I love Don Cheadle, but the Tony/Rhodey BFF dynamic was more believable with ol' baby wipes.
