Confirmed: Albert Brooks is Back for 'Finding Nemo 2'

News has been relatively quiet on the Finding Nemo sequel front ever since it was first announced last year. Today, Deadline has an update as they report that Albert Brooks is expected to return to voice Marlin. Andrew Stanton is returning to direct the Disney•Pixar film and is co-writing the script with Victoria Strouse. Plot details are currently unavailable, but it was previously reported that Ellen DeGeneres is planning to return in the role of Dory.

The 2003 original won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was nominated for three others. With a total of $867.6 million worldwide, it was the second-highest grossing film of 2003. Brooks recently starred in Judd Apatow's This Is 40 and was, prior to that, nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive. A 2016 release date is being projected for the Finding Nemo sequel.

And since when did people underestimate Pixar? We're talking about Pixar.

I mean, yeah....Cars 2 was a flop. But Cars sucked too.

They will not fuck up Finding Nemo 2.
