Adele, it turns out, has been up to more than “getting knocked up” since racking up a trunk full of trophies for 21 last year.
When we caught up with the busy pop queen/working mom and at last night’s Grammys (where she picked up an award for Best Pop Solo Performance), she offered up a status update on how her life — and her next album — are coming along. As always, Adele was ever frank.
“I’ve been up since 6 a.m. — I’m quite tired,” the “Skyfall” singer said. She did add, however, that she’s been learning how to balance work and parenthood ever since giving birth to her first child last October. “It’s nice, I haven’t been as stressed out. You have to prioritize what you stress about when you have a child.”
As for how the follow-up to the record-shattering 21 is coming along, Adele is less sure. “I’m not very far along at all,” she said of her highly anticipated third album. “I’m having lots of meetings. That’s what I’ve been doing in LA.., and I will be till the Oscars.”
“I’ve been out of the loop,” she added, referring to the current music landscape. “I’ve been singing my baby nursery rhymes, and I sort of don’t even know what’s cool and what’s not.
Of course, when the woman who only needed 10 minutes to lay down an Oscar-nominated song for the latest James Bond flick says that she’s out of touch, we take it with a grain of salt. But if she’s seriously seeking advice on the latest trends, we have a tip for her: buy some suspenders.

i could be here for that
I thought she said she wanted to do something more country-like? Like Hiding My Heart. Rick Rubin's probably gonna be the dude in charge of everything no matter what direction she goes in lbr.
:\
she just needs to write songs that she wants to sing and would love to listen to herself.
i need a third cd. i was listening to 19 (my personal fav) and 21 today on my way to work.
