Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl has claimed grunge music has never died in a Reddit fan AMA (Ask Me Anything).
The former Nirvana drummer was asked by a fan, who goes by the name of ConumdrumSteve on the community-based website, if "Grunge will ever make a comeback?"
To which Grohl replied: If you mean loud ass guitars, loud ass drums, and screaming ass vocals? That never went away ding dong.
The Foo's front man took part in the Reddit fan AMA to promote his documentary on the legendary Sound City recording studios. The movie is available to watch now at soundcitymovie.com.
The film's soundtrack will come out on March 11, and will include the Paul McCartney-featuring track, 'Cut Me Some Slack' as well as many more from Grohl's Sound City Players band, which features members of Nirvana and Foo Fighters as well as Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Fear's Lee Ving, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, Brad Wilk Of Rage Against The Machine, Alain Johannes, Chris Goss.

Hopefully he's aware that the Foo Fighters blow ass today and there's plenty of rock bands with loud guitars, loud drums, and screaming vocals that he has nothing to do with.

It's just that no one cares.
very very few genres of music die off but usually when the heyday is over, it's over and musicians need to get with the times, especially if their old albums are hard to find or out of print.
