tbh there are a ton of places that let underage kids who aren't famous. when i went to school in queens the bar right near my school let you in at 18 for the longest time but it got stricter because of all the fighting etc. i think the owner knew some police officers or something. also a bar on Long Island called Dizzy's is apparently the best place to get in if youre underage
A lot of LI bars actually ID surprisingly! I didn't start going to bars til I was 21 so I didn't encounter a problem but a lot of my friends have been denied bc of their age.
Regular people do the same where I live. There's a whole strip of bars that mostly only under 21 people go. They get served alcohol no problem. The cops are there too. They are there just to break up fights. Downtown area (where 21+ usually go) too. If for some reason there's pressure to crack on the drinking for a little bit(lots of dui accidents or deaths) they bartenders will tell an under 21 to get a 21+ to buy and they can still drink. A cop could be right there and see and they'd do nothing.
I live in Louisiana. Drinking under 21 is not a big deal...it's often encouraged in our culture here tbh.
