i had a friend who was sleeping with a married guy. he kept saying he was getting divorced. literally all she would talk about for a year was this guy, and only this guy, and it ruined a lot of friendships. he would say really inappropriate things about her to me and my friends, and when we told her what was up, she blamed us for it. naturally she found out he wasn't getting divorced the hard way, but by then the damage was done.
