NBC's Do No Harm Cancelled after Two Episodes

NBC has permanently suppressed Dr. Cole’s evil alter ego.

The network has pulled the plug on its Jekyll-and-Hyde-esque medical thriller 'Do No Harm' after just two anemically rated episodes.

The freshman drama’s Jan. 31 debut garnered 3.1 million total viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, making it the lowest-rated, in-season debut of any scripted Big 4 series ever. This week’s second installment fared worse, dropping to a 0.7 demo rating.

Do No Harm wrapped production on its initial 13-episode order last month; it’s unclear if the 11 remaining episodes will see the light of day.

Encores of Law & Order: SVU will fill the Thursday-at-10 void for the next several weeks. Bryan Fuller’s anticipated Hannibal likely will take over the slot on March 14.

This makes me sad because I had a bit part in it and now my episode won't air. Boo :( But that's how all big stars get their start, right? haha

i wonder if his new USA network show will be cancelled too?

LOL!!!!

He doesn't have a USA show...Over/Under was just a pilot that wasn't picked up, but I think had to be aired at some point for certain contract reasons or something.

NBC has been in a tailspin ever since Friends went off the air and they foolishly scheduled all those low-rated "quality" comedies.
prophecypro 9th-Feb-2013 04:57 am (UTC)
Just keep in mind when you say that, that includes 30 Rock, Community, Parks and Rec etc etc. Good shows with low ratings also hurt it.
tuggernuts 8th-Feb-2013 11:52 pm (UTC)
i'm not sure how anyone got passed page 1 in the first script tbh
morgan90 8th-Feb-2013 11:52 pm (UTC)
All I know is the subway ads for this show were so hysterically awful
pantspolice 8th-Feb-2013 11:52 pm (UTC)
I can't believe it even made it this far to be honest.

I don't understand why they haven't fired everyone at NBC yet. They have had issues for way too long. They might as well put the pilots online and let us vote on which we want to be made. They'd have better success that way.
kissoffools 9th-Feb-2013 01:25 am (UTC)
This would actually be an awesome idea.
rivereyes 9th-Feb-2013 08:22 am (UTC)
I would actually be so up on that.
bighype 9th-Feb-2013 04:33 pm (UTC)
omg that's such a good idea. please go apply for an executive position at NBC right now.
ch33rylips 8th-Feb-2013 11:55 pm (UTC)
I'm surprised it made it to, two episodes this shit looked so fucking stupid.
yurasama_love 9th-Feb-2013 12:03 am (UTC)
Good. How the fuck do you become a surgeon if 12 hours out of the day you got a split personality that runs off? What a dumb premise. Did they learn nothing from the Christian Slater show?

omg, how would he get past his residency? His ass would be kicked out.
treebraids 9th-Feb-2013 10:20 am (UTC)
He used to take a drug that put him to sleep for 12hours, but the drug stops working in the pilot.
