The pop/soda regional debate is fascinating. I thought "soda" was American and "pop" Canadian, but it appears there's no rhyme or reason for it.

Yeah it can be really random. In general the upper midwest says pop, but then in Wisconsin they say soda. And in the south they ask what kind of Coke you want!

pop is mid-western in the states. and a bit southern. it is definitely an intriguing thing.


I say soda and cringe when someone calls it pop lol

They say pop where I live and if you soda, people get super angry. I now say pop so I don't offend anyone :(
