Lena Dunham Says She Actually Did Vote In The 2012 Election



Lena Dunham, the co-creator of HBO's "Girls" and star of a controversial YouTube video for President Obama's reelection campaign, took to Twitter on Thursday to refute a report that claimed she didn't cast a ballot in the presidential election.

New York political blog Room Eight reported Wednesday that Dunham was registered to vote in Brooklyn but did not cast a ballot in 2012. But, as Dunham explained on Twitter, trouble with an absentee ballot forced her to vote provisionally.

It depends on the growth of certain demographics, but there are some places in Georgia that are Democratic strongholds. The only other red state that has a smaller difference in margin is North Carolina, so it's doable.

I feel like if southern liberals keep thinking that way, it'll never happen. There's a lot of people in the south that are more left-leaning than they realize, and that's what campaigners need to focus on if they ever want to turn the south back to blue

But, no they just give up on us. The difference between campaign season when I was in Ohio vs. when I moved back down south is ridiculous. It's almost like people just don't even care here because they figure it'll be a conservative outcome anyway.

i was born and raised in Texas and know first hand that there are millions of democrats/liberals here but yes, they don't give a fuck. look at the governor's race for example. rick perry does NOT campaign but wins every time. the 2010 turnout was dreadful and embarrassing. but conservatives and republicans still far outnumber democrats/liberals down here. just the way it is.
