Benedict Cumberbatch is Khan!
Even though Benedict Cumberbatch has denied repeatedly that he is playing Khan, a new Entertainment Weekly webpage has revealed that he is in fact Khan, and not John Harrison.
One of the best kept secrets in all of Hollywood has been, who is Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock") playing in Star Trek Into Darkness? If you look below you'll see that Entertainment Weekly has spoiled the surprise with the headline "Kirk & Khan." So, it looks like Cumberbatch will be filling be playing the classic Star Trek villain, originally played by Ricardo Montalban ("Fantasy Island").

Khan Noonien Singh.
*sorry for replying to an old comment. Also explains why BCs hair is black in the movie
How well EW got stuff right for the first one?
Sorry but the gif doesn't do justice. It needed to be posted.
But if it happens, JJ Abrams better run for his life.
Besides, A) the last movie was sort of like the Wrath of Nero and non Trek fans will be like "waaa it's too similar to the last movie", B) they would have to give Bones screen time for this plot line and lbr JJ's sole mission in life is to deprive the world of all of that gloriousness and C-Z) Bumperbuns Cooterstench as Khan? Really? No. Just no.
At least this is what I tell myself so I can sleep at night...
That said, the scripts are so flimsy and pointless and the characterisation so one-dimensional that they could just search/replace the villain's name and virtually nothing would change So maybe that's what they did.
that better not be true
