I refused to watch this show for such a long time and judged the whole family pretty harshly, but a few weeks ago I caught a bit of a mini-marathon (Thanksgiving and Halloween special and two other episodes) and decided to see what all the fuss was about.
... and I love this entire family. Sure they're a bit out there, and their eating habits give me secondhand diabetes, but they're so fucking happy. Like, every single one of them seems happy just being alive, it's impossible to watch and not smile.
