Despite Campaign Video, Lena Dunham Didn't Vote

A local politics blog says Dunham is registered to vote in Brooklyn but didn't in 2012



Lena Dunham didn't vote in the 2012 elections despite making a widely-discussed video for the Obama campaign, according to New York politics blog Room 8.

"Further, in a Gatemouth exclusive, I can now report that according to New York City's voter file, a Lena Dunham registered in registered in Brooklyn did not vote in the 2012 general election or in any local elections since she moved from her prior address in Tribeca," writes blogger Gatemouth.

Dunham did vote in 2008, but not in 2004.

A representative for Dunham didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Its public information (so is what your registered political party affiliation is), from what I understand.

I know your registration can easily be found, but not if you voted or not.

I wonder if I can find out about myself. Like I send mine in absentee but I am always skeptical about whether it gets there

I would go to your county's board of election website. Mine has a place where you can search your name and it tells you the elections you voted in (I voted absentee and it got there :))

It definitely is public record. I don't have receipts or anything but before the election, some interest group sent a flyer around my neighborhood saying which elections all of my neighbors voted/didn't vote in. They were correct about my record so, I'm pretty sure it was legit.

basically they were trying to shame people into voting i guess? it was a shitty thing to do.

yep it's definitely available information. I do a lot of political precinct walking and how many times you've voted is even on the lists we use
