The Oscars are the biggest celebrity fashion moment of the red carpet calendar, so the pressure is on for nominees Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway to perform yet another style high.

And it appears that they most certainly will as a select few of the Academy Award’s shortlist shared the secrets of their Oscar 2013 style.

It girl of the moment,Jennifer Lawrence took a playful approach as she joked at the pre Oscars luncheon telling People magazine: ‘I’m going to wear sweatpants.’ Although she quickly turned things around adding: ‘Last time was comfort. This year I’m like, “Suck it up, wear a corset.” I am going to go for fashion this time.’

She may have opted for a softer style at the 2012 Oscars but she still looked red hot in a Calvin Klein dress, although Jennifer credits her amazing look to magic underwear and not her pre-event dinner.

Jennifer revealed: ‘I ate a Philly cheesesteak and fries, and I was like “This is definitely going to help.” It didn’t, because I had to double-Spanx it.’

Best actress nominee, Anne Hathaway may have lost a considerable amount of weight for her role in Les Miserables, but it’s nice to hear she’s tucking into greasy food as she revealed she’s ditched the idea of dieting. Anne said: ‘It was the Super Bowl! I couldn’t think about dresses with all that delicious fried food around.’

She then teased us with her dress choice, saying that she was looking at some ‘cool options.’

Amy Adams followed suit and refused to reveal much detail simply saying: ‘No girl ever tells you. Has any girl ever gotten up here and said, “I'm wearing this designer and it will be this color?”’

Well actually Jessica Chastain just did. ‘I'm going to go for something that's perhaps colorful,’ she said. ‘Most little girls dream about their wedding dresses, but I always dreamed about my Oscar dress – maybe because I like color!’

And that wasn’t all she shared, the actress continued: ‘I love fashion that celebrates a woman's body [and] maybe is a throwback to the glamour of Old Hollywood, that silhouette, but somehow making it modern.’ Perhaps Oscar de la Renta then…

LBR, both Jessica and Jennifer will wear something horrible, because their stylists clearly hate them. Anne should have a food-themed dress. What would you wear to Oscars, ONTD?
