Kim Kardashian Posts Gun Photo, Sparks Outrage



Several folks are taking aim at Kim Kardashian after she tweeted a photo of a diamond-encrusted gun.

The photo popped up on the E! star's Instagram account this week, and sparked some criticism as to the timing of the posting, coming as it did in the wake of Kim's recent encouraging of her Twitter followers to help combat gun violence following the Sandy Hook massacre in Connecticut.

However, a source close to Kardashian tells E! News that the whole thing was "a mistake."

she cropped, filtered and hit post by mistake. maybe her fingers swelled up with her pregancy and she can't hit the right buttons :( have some sympathy ok!!!

the "mistake" bit makes much more sense on twitter than on instagram.

I'm pretty sure I remember an episode of their show in which all the sisters and kris went to a gun range. weird place to be if you hate guns...

not really? I am absolutely FOR gun control....but there's nothing wrong with wanting to know how to shoot a gun for your own safety if you're even face to face with a gun, because they also teach you how to use to safety and how to load/unload and take apart guns too.

I am honestly just surprised that the gun is strategically placed to show off her body is some way.

Yes indeed. Multiple actually. And for the record I'm not out murdering people, shooting animals or part of a gang. I shoot at a piece of paper in a controlled environment, the horror!
