‘Teen Wolf’ season 3 spoilers: Allison gets a potential new love interest, Derek gets a new look

Teen Wolf season 3 spoilers are coming in fast and heavy these days, and we’ve got some more information about potential love interests for Allison and Scott, plus a hint that Derek got a little bit of a makeover!

This morning, EOnline shared some info about Allison and Scott’s relationship – or, rather, lack thereof.

With a few more female characters added in this year, fans have been wondering if Scott will be hooking up with any of them. Tyler Posey says he won’t, explaining, “So far they just want to kill me! So far no new potential love interests. Not yet.”

Hm. That “not yet” has us wondering. Perhaps Posey knows more than he lets on. Do you want to see Scott with a new girlfriend, or are you holding out for him and Allison to get back together?

Allison, on the other hand, may be moving on a little bit quicker than Scott. EOnline goes on to say, “[she] may or may not have a new love interest in season three and it may or may not be someone viewers have already met.”

Interesting! What do you think of this new potential love interest for Allison? Any ideas who it could be?

In another spoiler chat, this time with Zap2It, we learn a little bit more about Derek’s new apartment, which we saw earlier this week.

It seems that Derek’s new apartment will be quite the residence! Zap2It is sure to point out the fact that it does, indeed, have a bed, AND the site mentions that it will “be put to very good use this season.” We guess that makes Hayley Webb one lucky lady!

Are you excited to see Derek’s softer side?

The apartment used to feature more furniture, but executive producer Jeff Davis asked for some of it to be removed. Considering he lived in a burned down house for the better part of two seasons, we’re not surprised that he wouldn’t have a lot of useless things lying around.

So where did Derek get the furniture? “Most of this stuff, he probably found in the trash,” Davis said. Is he joking? Maybe. But maybe not. We wouldn’t put it past Derek to do a little dumpster diving. Could you even imagine him going to an IKEA and buying real furniture?

And it looks like Derek’s living quarters aren’t the only thing changing this year. According to Tyler Hoechlin himself, his character’s wolf teeth got redesigned since last season. Chances are they won’t be that different, but we’re also not sure how exactly they’d change.

ikr? I mean, I know prejudices don't exactly work in a rational matter anyway, but I especially can't get over it bc Scott's sixteen and he helped the Argents enough times to realize okay maybe he's an ~exception to the rule~. ugh it makes me so mad, the whole family (minus Allison, obviously) makes me so mad, bc they're one of the biggest flaws in the series.

So true, though. I really can't see this whole situation lasting for the entire twenty-four episode season. I mean, it was Crystal and Tyler's chemistry that got the series picked up.

The thing I don't understand is why they make her mother borderline abusive. I mean Papa Argent walks a fine line, but Mama Argent is legit straight up crazy. It would really make more sense to me if SHE was related to Gerard and not Chris.

What really makes me confused is that time after time the Argent's find it's not Derek or Scott that is making all the problems. I absolutely agree that their wobbly characterization is the biggest flaw to me. Especially when you watch all the episodes back to back.

And UGH I love Tyler and Crystal's chemistry. They are just so freaking cute. I normally don't go 'all in' for high school relationships, because I don't think they tend to last, but DAMN are they just precious and I love reading fics about how they last through high school and college.

IA IA IA. Mama Argent had no redeeming qualities towards her, then on top of that, I'm supposed to believe Papa has the ability to raise above all their crazy and realize they went way too far towards the end of season two? That whole storyline from Mama Argent trying to murder Scott to Chris and her staging her suicide in Allison's bedroom just left me speechless. Then again I'm suppose to be Chris is a sort of distant person through all this. ugh WHATEVER SHOW WHATEVER. But, no. Tangent aside, the Argent familiar relations make no sense what so ever.

But exactly, exactly. Of course Derek's issues could be solved if he learnt how to be a better alpha or w/e, but he really doesn't influence the plot as much as the Argents do.

And yeah, I feel similar. I only recently got into the show, but I had a plenty of friends tell me how boring Scott and Allison were together, so I was pretty surprised that they ended up being the cutest things ever. Whatever, Teen Wolf fandom. It's okay to be wrong sometimes.

My favorite least favorite part of the show was when Mama Argent couldn't talk to Allison about being bitten, so she KILLS HERSELF ON HER BED. And she's like 'I'm doing this so she knows I cared about her." What?! Lady, that's just horrible. That will scar Allison for life. None of the Argents workings make ANY sense to me.

I thought I would come out shipping Sterek to be honest (that's what showed up on my Tumblr dash the most), but instead I came out with INTENSE Allison/Scott feels. Teen Wolf fandom's dislike of Allison drives me a bit nuts sometimes, since I really love her.

Right? I just. I don't understand them at all. Under a better writer, I'm sure they would be a compelling group of people but Jeff Davis & co. don't have the skills to pull them of. I'm sure I would still dislike them if they were better written, but at least they would make sense. That's all I'm asking for at this point.

Likewise. I knew very little about the program outside Sterek and Scott (half of Tumblr dashboard are huge Scott fans likewise), but I had a close friend really into Sterek. Upon watching the series, I understood where the fanatic drive came from, but they weren't my cup of tea and fell majorly for Allison and her everything. Fandom's dislike towards her is such bullshit, though. I've seen more ppl defend Kate's actions than Allison's.

They could TOTALLY be at least interesting if they were written in a consistent manner. The writers don't seem to have a great idea on their background and motivations except that they HATE WEREWOLVES.

I enjoy Sterek in fanfiction, but I honestly never want to see them get together. Though when people break Scott/Allison up in fanfiction I rage.

I wish I knew where the rage for Allison came from. I like that she is both fierce but vulnerable, because she's in freaking high school. She's not perfect, but she did just find out her boyfriend was a werewolf, her family wants to kill said boyfriend, her favorite aunt killed a bunch of people, and her mom had to 'kill herself' because she didn't want to be a werewolf. She's having a bit of a hard time right now. But I will never not love her.

And people defend Kate? WHAT? What?!

I feel like the series' general lack of background and motivations will be the downfall of the program. It just won't be able to handle twenty-four episode seasons without some retooling and restructuring. It's a mess.

I've read a few Sterek fics, and they were definitely well-written and decent. I have hard time with characterization sometimes nevertheless. Popular tropes are way too divorce from Stiles and Derek's actual personalities, which makes me sad. I like that Stiles is totally morally dubious when it comes to helping Scott and his father. I like that Derek is generally a mess of a person and leader. When they are not these qualities I just feel like ppl lose what makes these characters interesting.

and IKR? I feel like she's a character talk about wanting, but when they actually get her, they complain and act like she's lesser than someone else. It's completely maddening! But yeah, I see a lot of Kate defense in the tracked tags on Tumblr. I don't know why I still visit them, but it's so gross. Like, are we forgetting she's a mass murder or something???

the main reason i see come through for the allison dislike is they feel that scott ignores stiles for her & if you haven't noticed the fandom is pretty stiles-biased. so her existence
the second is that she dared hurt isaac

The thing that pissed me off is that Chris has had zero problem letting his crazy family go around killing wolves that haven't done anything wrong. He didn't say a damn thing until it meant he would lose his daughter too.

It's why it makes me mad when fandom treats him like he's one of the "good ones" because he has a nebulous code that he follows but let's everyone else break without any real complaint from him. It's like nope, sorry, getting the courage to do the right thing once it finally affects the people you care about doesn't make you a good person.

Oh, god yes. Preach.

One: I like Chris only because I find JR Bourne distractingly attractive. When I started watching Teen Wolf, while I knew I was supposed to be watching for the Tylers, anytime Papa Argent came on screen I was distracted by how how much I was attracted to JR Bourne.

Two: The problem with Chris is that the writers want to write him as a morally grey character, but they don't know how to do it properly. Like, you are supposed to kind of root for him, because sometimes werewolves do turn out to be bad and someone has to protect humans from them. That's why they have this code. At the end of season one, you were supposed to see that he turned against Kate because of what she did.

But in season 2 they completely forgot about it. They used his character where they wanted and forgot about consistency. He doesn't like Gerard (I mean he calls his own father by his first name?) but then is like "Your right dad, its obvious we totally need to kill these high schoolers, because even though it has been shown that the werewolves aren't doing the killing, we need to kill them all."

Just. What are you Chris Argent?
cageyb 6th-Feb-2013 05:40 am (UTC)
I mean I've always kind of side-eyed him for trying to vivisect Scott by way of two cars on the mere suspicion that he was a wolf, but his whole character just went downhill after he let his dad kill that omega in season 2.
derpmaid TL;DR, sorry6th-Feb-2013 10:18 am (UTC)
The thing I notice the most about Christ Argent is that for all he spouts bullshit about his code, he doesn't actually follow it himself, or really enforce it on others (as you said).

I mean, season 1, the alpha's going around killing people. Chris has no idea who the alpha is, and no proof of any connection to Derek, and yet he still goes around blaming Derek for the alpha's shit: threatening him, breaking his car, going after him guns blazing once he's been accused but not CONVICTED of murder and with 0 proof of anything.

Chris Argent isn't morally grey, he's just as fucking nuts as the rest of his family, he just hides it better and sometimes follows the code he's always spewing shit about. But you know what? I can't take his "I follow the code" seriously with the way he treats Derek from the get go and from, y'know, trying to kill innocent teenagers just because they happen to be werewolves. There's no "we hunt those who hunt us" it's just "we hunt whoever the fuck we decide deserves it, for whatever reason".

Frankly, I don't even think he was mad at Kate regarding the Hale house for the right reason. He wasn't mad because she'd ignored the code and killed a bunch of innocent werewolves, he was mad because there were humans, human children, caught in the fire. Because fuck werewolves over as much as you like, even if they're peaceful and haven't hurt anyone, but when you kill a human? CODE KICKS IN, LADY.

And where is he when Gerard is messing with his daughter's head? Why doesn't he do anything (like teaching her everything that she should know) and leave it to psycho grandpa who literally told him in episode 1 of season 2 that he was there to start a war and not give a fuck about the code.

Where is the "responsible" parent in Chris when Allison, due to grief and Gerard's manipulations, goes psycho and decides that she will KILL DEREK. Because as "justified" as he might think killing Derek is (due to Victoria's death), Erica, Boyd and Isaac shouldn't get caught in the crossfire, but they do, because Chris isn't actually a good person and doesn't actually give a shit.

As attractive as JR Bourne is, Chris Argent can take a long fucking hike over a very short cliff.

This thread makes me so happy.

Ah. This comment actually makes me so happy. None of my in real life friends watch Teen Wolf, and I just got into it a few months ago so I missed all the indepth conversations when they first aired.
