Romeo Miller says he’s auditioning for a role in ‘Divergent’ today
He’s no Kate Winslet, but Romeo Miller (known to many as Lil’ Romeo) revealed via Twitter today that he’s having a meeting for a role in the Divergent movie.
Wrote the rapper on Twitter:
His hashtag may suggest he’s attempting to join the cast as someone in the Dauntless faction. A note posted to his Instagram offers a little more background info:
“10 months ago Mike Pasternak told me about this project “Divergent”. Little did he know that I was a big fan of the book already! This day – TODAY – I am going in to a meeting for this amazing project! Must say out of evertyhing I’ve accomplished, that this day – TODAY I am the most excited. Always dream big and be FEARLESS! #dauntless”
One possible opening for Miller may be Uriah, who is described as tall and handsome in the books.
Filming for the Divergent movie is set to begin in just two months. Despite this, the only confirmed actress so far is Shailene Woodley, who will star as Tris.
Summit did confirm in recent weeks that Kate Winslet is in talks for a role.
An open casting call is being held in Chicago Saturday, February 9. Divergent opens March 21, 2014.

And although Divergent had a few hot mess moments, I do remember Roth pointing out some characters as POC sooo we'll see.
He seems passionate about the movie being made and is a fan and I like that in an actor in movies based on books.
