Did millions of people switch OFF during the half time show? *updated*

Update:

As time goes by, more reports and official figures tell us that not 104 million, but only 95 million saw Beyonce's performance. Her ratings went from 100 to 95 million while performing #NF Despite the hype, it seems like millions of people switched off during the halftime.
/Update

The halftime show began shortly before 8:10 p.m. ET and between 8 and 8:30, the show did a 48.2 rating, according to Nielsen’s metered market ratings. Based on Nielsen’s math of a little more than two viewers per television set, the viewership is in the 104 million ballpark. It is highly likely that when final numbers are released, Beyonce’s total will be lower than the 104 million estimate, which is 10 million less than the half time show in 2012.

Nielsen estimate 108.41 million viewers tuned in for the actual Super Bowl, making it the third-most-watched program in television history behind Super Bowl XLVI and Super Bowl X Meaning that over 4 million people switched off when the half time show took of.

Nielsen, heeding CBS’s request, is not counting the 34-minute power outage delay in its ratings

By comparison, Madonna's halftime show last year had 114 million viewers - which gave her another position in the Guinness book of World Records for the biggest TV audience ever - Gaining 3 million more viewers than the game itself and over 10 million more views than this year's half time show th Beyoncé at Super Bowl XLVII.

Bruce Springsteen, for example attracted 95.7 million viewers.

As much as people here like to deminish madonna's success/achievements, Beyonce just isn't at her level, Madonna has that iconic status Beyonce wants so badly.

Plus Beyonce is vey safe and madonna has a danger/edge to her that Beyonce never will

lmao obviously, it kind of helps that madonna was around 20 years before beyonce....... either way she's the biggest star of this generation and is already hailed as one of the greatest performers of all time
