She came from Juilliard. :) Years of hard work and dedication that finally paid off when most of her movies came out one right after the other and the critics started paying attention to her talent.

She started getting buzz in 2010 because people realized she was going to be in SEVEN movies in 2011

but yeah she didn't really start getting noticed until 2012 pretty much

she had been filming movies for a period of like 5 years..most of them suddenly came out last year and there are still a couple that haven't come out yet.

so i guess she kind did come from nowhere..but she's a great actress so no one cares how fast she came up.

It's kinda sad how she's def more deserving of that Oscar than J.Law (not denying Jennifer's acting abilities, just saying the role she played is not best actress level)

I'm sure she has other nominations ahead of her, so we'll get to celebrate her victory one day. It'll be very bitter (for me at least) if she loses to JLaw because 1) JLaw does not deserve an Oscar for SLP and 2) you know it's most likely Harvey's doing.

So it will be kind of like the evil beating the good for me, lol.

I love JLaw, but I agree. She's still a kid, AND the movie she's nominated for, while solid, can't even hold a candle to ZDT and Jessica's performance. It's all Hollywood politics, ugh
