This show is fun. I always find the mystery parts a bit boring, but the interaction between Sherlock/Watson is great. I love having a Watson who actually appears to contribute. Also JLM's tattoos, and Lucy Liu being fabulous

i know it's not really comparable, but i watched sherlock again and john just doesn't seem to know anything about medicine ha bless him

lmao right? I like that Joan is able to contribute to Sherlock's investigations on her own with her knowledge of medicine while on BBC Sherlock, it's usually just Holmes testing Watson, or Watson watching from the sidelines and being amazed/awed by him. I feel like Joan plays a bigger role than John does.

LOL Oh dear, poor John Watson. I do like him on the show, but yeah, I can't remember him ever doing much (which is not to say he never does, as I have the memory of a fish). Still I like that with these two it feels far more like a partnership, than a hero and his sidekick.

I'm with you. I love the series but I'm just there for the banter and the characters. The mysteries are not so mysterious.

Yeah, I can't even say that it's an issue where they're too easy to solve. Half the time I can't even get interested enough to try and solve it. But I am pretty much willing to stick with it since I've always tended to value characters I can love over the most amazing plot ever.
