Honestly I think they're pretty much going to kill everyone except Ryan by the end of the season so it's more of a no one is safe sort of thing. A guy from Suits (I think it's Suits anyway) is also joining the cast at the same time.
I believe she was originally going to stay. She's actually in the early promo shots but after the show got picked up she jumped ship or something. It does make sense though if you look at it realistically.
