samantha barks is talented, but eponine did not work at ALL for me.

I didn't give any shits about her or her story. tbqh.

Samantha's voice just doesn't do it for me. She sounds entirely too nasally. However, I was glad they picked her over Taylor Swift and whoever else they were considering b/c at least she could hit the notes properly.

Samantha made a deliberate choice to play Eponine as fragile instead of scrappy and headstrong. I think Samantha played "delicate" well, but I wanted a stronger Eponine.
