But it's a planned segment thing of the show, if Ellen had any problem with it then she could have NOT asked her about it. She knew full well the story JLaw was going to tell so I don't get this whole thing "ELLEN WAS SO PISSED" when 1. She knew about it before hand and 2. she didn't even react at all.

All talk show hosts do this, I've seen Ellen ask really basic questions to people who are her friends... she has to ask the question so the audience finds out or else it would be Ellen telling people about the guest.

They aren't always THAT well planned out, it's usually just an outline of things to be talked about. She probably didnt' know that she named her damn cat Chaz BOno
