Is an elbow a tricky area to do, in terms of it not looking messed up when you move it? I'd imagine it'd be hard to do well what with that weird wrinkly skin around elbows.
I work/own a tattoo studio with my father and from personal experience, elbows are difficult only because the skin around that general area can be tougher and harder in general. Also, it's a weird place to get tattooed anyways because you have to be positioned in the right way while being tattooed so that when you get up and have your arms lying naturally, the skin shifts and what-not. So the artist doing it really has to work with the way the body and skin moves to make sure your tattoo when it's done is actually straight.
I don't know about the elbow but the wrist is a motherfucker, at least afterwords. I wish my tattoo artist had told me my tattoo would start to get blurry after a while ¬¬
