I really hate how the media refuses to do full body shots of certain types of women for magazine covers.

mfte. I typed in 'Adele Magazine Cover' into google and the only one that had a CLEAR body shot (not obscured by lighting, heaving dress etc) was Cosmo.

There was a similar one for Gabourey Sidibe a few years ago. The magazine (I think it might have been Glamour?) did a series of covers for all of that year's up-and-coming actresses. Everyone but Gabourey got a beautiful cover that showed off her body, her clothes, etc. Gabourey got a close-up so extreme that it'd put Tom Hooper to shame.

probably Elle magazine, for their 25th anniversary cover they had four different covers

And I'd probably be more uncomfortable seeing my face SUPER magnified everywhere than a full body shot.

Like whenever I pick up my double-sided swivel mirror and it's on the magnified side...

I know what you mean, but there are plenty of magazines that almost always do shoulders & up anyway (allure, vogue for example)
