lol I like that she has all these cool connections, but downplays them like hell and tries to insist that she's so "regular" with her "working class artist" parents.

I definitely think she believes she's not privileged at all. Like girl, having a fashion designer as a babysitter is not that "normal". face facts.

I also loled at her frustration at people thinking she's an "overnight" success. IT TOOK HER LIKE 6 YEARS OF STRUGGLE TO GET HER BIG BREAK! a whole fucking lifetime!

I always take 'overnight success' to mean: one day she wasn't a success and the next she was. Which is what it felt like. Luckily, the brighter the flame the quicker it burns and all that jazz.

It's so annoying to me whenever anyone flips out that someone her age is doing what she is doing. Yeah, it probably isn't that hard when you are extremely well connected.
