Zachary Quinto Stars In YouTube Short Film ‘Dog Eat Dog’ on Petsami Channel

“Dog Eat Dog,” a short film featuring “Star Trek” and “American Horror Story” actor Zachary Quinto, made its debut on Petsami today, a YouTube channel targeted towards animal lovers of all ages.

FishBowl Worldwide Media, the studio that owns the Petsami channel, partnered with Quinto’s Before The Door Pictures production in bringing this heartwarming rivalry of a man and a stranger obsessed with a dog at the local pound.

Quinto talked about the plot in a statement: “This story is very close to all of us, as we have all rescued or fostered dogs over the years. The story of the film is an exaggerated account of how I eventually found my rescue dog Noah, but it still reflects a bit of the reality I faced when I was looking to adopt a shelter dog.”

The “Dog Eat Dog” project has been nearly two years in the making. Quinto and director Sian Heder went on Kickstarter back in November 2011 to get viewers to fund the short film. They raised $30,204, more than four times their original goal of $7,500.

I just saw him in "Margin Call" it was a shitty movie but his role wasn't too bad. I bought it for Simon Baker though.

It's not one of the shitty BTD things, no. This is adorable and funny. I agree though, his other ones are just... horrible as hell. His friends are PAINFULLY unfunny.

ughhh i can't watch til my dog comes home cause she is in the vet hospital until she doesn't shit blood anymore, just seeing him play with the dog in the first minute made me weepy i'm way too attached

Aw, that was really cute, him cuddling that dog was really sweet. Maybe it's his roles in Heroes and American Horror Story, but I kept expecting Zachary to maim or kill someone during this. Although his name being Oliver threw me for a loop, wasn't that his character's name in AHS? Glad he didn't kill anyone, probably would've ruined the flow of the story.
