World of Warcraft movie has a director

Duncan Jones is making the jump to big-budget tentpole movies, signing on to direct Warcraft, Legendary Pictures’ live-action adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s video game universe. Jones made his feature debut writing and directing 2009's Moon, the well-regarded low-key indie sci-fi drama that starred Sam Rockwell and cost around $1 million to make. He followed that up with Source Code, Summit’s 2011 time travel thriller that starred Jake Gyllenhaal and cost around $35 million to make. Warcraft is expected to have a budget north of $100 million.

Legendary is keeping its script, written by Charles Leavitt, under wraps. The Warner Bros.-based production and finance outfit is eyeing a fall 2013 start and a 2015 release.

Not sure if want.. Honestly, not sure if I want a movie at all, but this is a strange choice for director. Could be amazing. Oblig, I played MoP, hit 90, got bored of dailies and quit.

I haven't played WoW since 2009 and have no plans on going back. I actually enjoy Aion. Even with that said, I'd probably see a WoW movie since I always tldr'd the WoW lore and what not.

ah damn, i really tried getting into aion, and i got my sorc up to 38 before just getting tired of the grind. it's a gorgeous, beautiful game but yeesh, was it grindy.

I love Source Code so much. Judging by a couple of comments like yours here I thought Rotten Tomatoes has lost it by giving it 95+% (if I remember correctly) but I loved every damn second of it. Especially since I studied some of the things/theories they brought up (physics student here). I thought it was thoroughly entertaining. And I generally bitch about scientific inaccuracies all the time (like Looper....fun...I guess....but so dumb and irritating at the same time)
